UG & The CAVEMEN

Ug & The Cavemen (1987)

One of the most obscure and most interesting pieces of vinyl from the 80's Garage daze has to be the self-titled UG & THE CAVEMEN 12“, that was put together by Sting-Ray Bal Croce and also featured his former band mate Mark Hosking on guitar as well as 'Bongo' Debbie Green from The X-Men. Like the Bananamen EP the sleeve is loaded with red herrings to mislead a possible buyer to another lost 60's outfit, but that's just nuts. Narrow-minded Psychobilly listeners beware, but for lovers of the U.K. Trash'n'Garage, adorers of the Sting-Rays and collectors of Rock'n'Roll curiosities this is another item to look out for. My favourite tracks are Go Go Gorilla, Nightmare, Be A Cavemen, I'm Evil, Switchblade and Mean Time Mama.
