The Chills

Something To Die For (2010)

This is another stunning release from Alan Wilson's Western Star label. This time the record company reminds us of  the almost forgotten sound of electric bass Psychobilly in form of the excellent debut album from THE(E) CHILLS. Brought to life by Radiac Billy Oxley, his former Blue Devil mate Chris Nagle and Kev Lee on drums, this three-piece created a wonderful disc with ten originals and two amazing cover versions. Furious vintage Rock'n'Roll with decent Garage influences meets lyrics dealing with f***ed up states of mind, zombies, voodoo power and similar classic Psycho themes. This is a must-have for all enthusiasts of bass guitar Psychobilly and all lovers of the Garage disease. Highlights are Voodoo Party, Voodoo Bop, Blood, Losing My Mind and It Could Be You.
